One page, in plain language, on exactly what an AIDRank score means and what it does not. If you read nothing else on this site, read this.

This disclaimer sits alongside our Terms of Service, whose section 3 says all of this in formal legal language. This page says it in plain words. Where the two ever appear to differ, the Terms govern.

1. The Short Version

Read this if nothing else

An AIDRank score tells you how well an AI model remembers a domain. That is the whole of it.

It does not tell you whether a business is good, honest, successful, safe, or worth your money. A wonderful business can score low simply because the models never learned about it. A mediocre one can score high because the models happened to absorb a lot about it. The score and the quality of the business are two separate things.

Everything below is that same idea, spelled out.

2. It Measures Memory, Not Merit

When you scan a domain, we ask Claude and GPT a fixed set of questions about it, using only what they learned during training, with their web access switched off. We write down what they say. That is the entire process.

So the score reflects one thing: how much, and how accurately, the models happen to recall about that domain. It is a measurement of the models' memory. It is not a measurement of the business, and turning one into the other is exactly the mistake this page exists to prevent.

3. What a Score Is and Is Not

A score is
  • A record of what AI models recalled
  • A snapshot from one moment in time
  • Based only on training, not on live data
  • The same for anyone who scans that domain
  • Information, for you to interpret yourself
A score is not
  • A rating or review of the business
  • A judgment of quality, safety or trust
  • Our opinion of anyone
  • A statement of fact about a company
  • A certification, ranking or endorsement
  • Advice of any kind

We do not evaluate, rate, review, audit, endorse, or pass judgment on any business, website, product or person. We ask a machine a question and we report the answer.

4. The Models Can Be Wrong

Language models make mistakes, and they make them with total confidence. A model may put a business in the wrong industry, the wrong country, or confuse it with a different one entirely. It may invent details that were never true.

When that happens, we report it as it is. We do not correct it, because the mistake is itself the finding. If a model is confused about a domain, that is worth seeing exactly as the model produced it. This means nothing a model says about a domain, and no score built from it, should be treated as accurate or relied upon as true.

5. We Cannot Tell You How to Raise It

Nobody outside the AI labs knows exactly how training data is chosen, and we are not inside them. Anyone selling you a guaranteed method to improve your standing inside these models is guessing, and often charging for the guess.

We measure where a domain stands. We do not claim to know the lever that moves it, and we make no promise that any score can be improved by any action. A score mostly changes when a new model version is trained, which is outside anyone's control, including ours.

6. Nothing Here Is Advice

The Service is for information and research only. Nothing on this Website, and no score it produces, is professional, financial, legal, marketing, or investment advice, and none of it should be treated as a recommendation to do or not do anything.

Any decision you make after looking at a score, about your own business or about anyone else's, is entirely your own. You carry the full consequences of it, and we carry none.

7. About Scanning Other People's Domains

You can scan any domain, including a competitor's, and many people do. But a score you obtain about a domain you do not own is for your own private use, and nothing more.

You must not publish it, present it as a rating of that business, or use it in advertising or in any public claim about them. A score taken out of context reads like a verdict on a company, which it is not, and doing so misrepresents both that company and this Service. The full restriction is in section 5 of our Terms.

8. No Guarantees

The Service is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that a scan will work, that a score is accurate, complete or current, or that the Website will be available or error free. The Service depends on AI providers we do not control, and it can change or stop at any time.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service, from any score, from any answer a model gave, or from any decision anyone made on the basis of one. The limits on our liability are set out in full in section 14 of our Terms of Service.
